Upcoming H4G Meeting November 18th

The next Health for Generations Coalition meeting will take place Tuesday, November 18^th, at 3:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Flora. The church is located at 103 E. 3^rd St. on the corner of North Main and 3^rd St. next to the library. There will be a presentation on celiac disease, which requires a strict gluten-free diet in order to avoid health complications. We will discuss these health complications, such as cancer, as well as gluten-free options in Flora’s grocery stores. We will also break into subcommittees to address our three health priorities: obesity/healthy living, cancer prevention, and access to healthcare. We hope to see you at the meeting!

IPLAN Update

The H4G Coalition met to discuss IPLAN updates and activity updates on October 14th, 2014. The minutes from this meeting are attached. The PowerPoint presentation from this meeting is also attached. The PowerPoint presentation was used to provide data updates as well as provide new and former members with information on IPLAN. The next meeting will take place on November 18th, 2014.

Health for Generations Meeting

The next Health for Generations meeting will be held at the health department next Tuesday, October 14th, 2014 from 9am-10:30am. We look forward to seeing those who were involved in the coalition in the past, and we will also be welcoming new members to the coalition. The meeting is open to community members who are interested in improving the health of the county. We will be discussing the Clay County IPLAN, reviewing health concerns and objectives, and providing updates.
